From the sellers...
We love this house. We bought it, our first, as a couple and grew into a family of four. Each room has so many special memories of our kids growing up, but the first reason we fell in love with it was the storage!
While we both grew up in the Seattle area, but bought this house when we returned to Seattle from Boston. In our tiny Boston apartment we stored our skis in the living room. This house holds mountain bikes, road bikes, kayaks, skis, holiday decorations, table saws, gardening tools, lawnmowers, toys, Costco quantities AND cars in the garage so you don’t have to scrape off morning ice.
We have an engineer in the house, so we updated many key systems—house and garage roofs, electrical to the garage, replaced siding, etc. We also updated internal features to feel more comfortable and inviting.
The outside living rivals the inside. We host friends at the backyard fireplace. (We are leaving firewood if the next owner wants to do the same.) The backyard gets a ton of sunlight; we grew enough tomatoes and vegetables to feed the neighborhood. The front cherry tree was a favorite for climbing and snacking. The neighbors are fabulous--and probably the best “block party” night in all of West Seattle. Also, it is an easy walk to the Morgan Junction and easy to catch the bus downtown.
We are really proud of this place and know that it will serve another family well.
