Anne and I have lived at 6708 39th Ave SW for 32 years. My how time flies. Thinking back, so many things attracted us to this property: location, views, privacy, the home's style, age and craftsmanship, the yard’s potential. I think we made the most of all of these features.

Over the years we have made major and minor improvements to every floor of the house and pretty much transformed the landscape: pool, deck, hot tub, sunroom, plantings. One major improvement was the master suite upstairs with the balcony's lovely views. The main concern for that addition was to look from the street like it was original; we believe that the architect and builders succeeded completely!

We have hosted numerous parties and sadly a few lifetime celebrations. One of the largest, for our dear brother in law, we hosted around 130 people. The home and yard handled the gathering with no problem. It was indeed a day to remember and a wonderful tribute.

Both Anne and I have lived in Seattle most of our lives. I was raised from infancy in West Seattle (by the Fauntleroy ferry). We raised our son for most of his life in this house half way up Gatewood hill (the highest hill in Seattle). He and his wife have since left the city to raise their three boys in Gig Harbor, so we are selling to be closer to them as we all grow in age.

It will be hard to leave this home. In fact, it has taken years to decide to sell. But we are now ready to pass this gem on and start the next chapter in our lives.
